During the last three years, in my capacity as Manager of Kingsdale School’s Support Unit, I have established an excellent working relationship with the Face to Face project.

As LSU Manager, dealing with some of the schools most vulnerable and challenging students there are occasions where it becomes apparent that the resources available within school are not sufficient or appropriate to address the needs of specific students. When this does happen I will look for some provision outside of the school.

It seems to me that there is an ever increasing list of organisations offering all manner of provision. However at Kingsdale for reasons mentioned above we have to be very careful in deciding which organisations are appropriate. The Face to Face project has consistently met every criteria we have insisted upon. The ICT courses followed the standard of teaching and most importantly the level of care shown to the young people referred has been exceptional. Without organisations such as this my job would be inestimably more difficult.

Steven Syron Head of Learning Support, Kingsdale School

The entire staff team, including the tutors, were both friendly and professional. Not only were they all knowledgeable, but they were also very skilled at working with young people. The young people who participated in this programme enjoyed themselves and learnt a lot as well. As Coordinator of the summer programme who worked with CYPA on this, I could not have asked for any more. Overall, an excellent service for all involved!

Thanks again, John.
